Dear Friend,

For millennia the ocean has stirred the emotions and imagination of artists and poets, as it always has for me. Longfellow expressed it well, “My soul is full of longing for the secret of the sea, and the heart of the great ocean sends a thrilling pulse through me.” I composed this song overlooking the great Sea of Galilee in Israel – a place rich in history and inspiration. I hope you will hear the sound of the sea singing!
Fair winds,
Joanne

The Sea is Singing – the lyric

I’m going to take you away
On a sail

On a ship of dreams
Over the deep
On a rising tide
To love

And the sea is singing
And it takes my breath away

Come on a voyage with me
To sites unseen
Beautiful skies
Secret bays
We’ll ride the waves
To love

And the sea is singing
It takes my breath away

By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but nature more
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne’er express, yet cannot all conceal*
