A family very close to us unexpectedly lost their teenage daughter. It was a tragic event that impacted our entire small community. Years went by and they were crushed by their daughter’s death and could not get back to social life. The parents became more and more withdrawn and eventually divorced and disappeared. We knew of another family that experienced a similar tragedy but they managed things differently. They created a foundation that would help other families.
